SHELL V-POWER RACING TEAM ENGINEERING SUCCESS WITH CAD-IT AUSTRALIA
March 31, 2025
The Shell V-Power Racing Team can today announce it has begun a new partnership with technology provider CAD-IT Australia.
Based in Yatala, moments away from the team’s HQ in Stapylton, CAD-IT Australia will work closely with the Shell V-Power Racing Team’s engineering department.
CAD-IT Australia’s systems allow for the team to eLectively design and prepare 3D CAD (Computer Aided Design) models and drawings managed in a PLM system (Product Lifecycle Management) to be provided to the workshop crew to fabricate parts and prepare the team’s Shell V-Power Ford Mustangs to go racing.
Shell V-Power Racing Team CEO David Noble thanked the CAD-IT Australia team for its support and welcomed the neighbouring organisation to the team’s growing partner family.
“The partnership is already well and truly underway and our engineering and fabrication teams are working with the software to eLectively prepare us for racing,” Noble said.
“Like us, CAD-IT Australia are proud Queenslanders and it is a pleasure to be partnering with an innovative business located nearby to our Stapylton HQ. Already we’ve received great support from the CAD-IT Australia team through their team who have been helping us both in the workshop and remotely.
“The innovative solutions provided by CAD-IT Australia will help us take our engineering to another level in 2025.”
CAD-IT Australia Managing Director Gernot Keckeis said the opportunity to work with the Shell V-Power Racing Team was an exciting one.
“On behalf of all of us at CAD-IT Australia, it’s a pleasure to be partnering with the team at Shell V-Power Racing,” Keckeis said.
“Our 3D CAD and PLM software allows automation and forward-thinking solutions throughout the process, from concept through to the installation of parts, in this case, on the Shell V-Power Mustangs.
“We already have a strong working relationship with the engineering team who are using our 3D CAD and PLM software to develop and create innovative solutions to the unique requirements of Supercars and motorsport more broadly.”
The Shell V-Power Racing Team’s next round of the Repco Supercars Championship takes place in New Zealand, with the Taupō 440 on 11-13 April.
