SHELL V-POWER RACING TEAM ENDS 2024 AT ADELAIDE 500

The Shell V-Power Racing Team has ended the 2024 Repco Supercars Championship season at the Adelaide 500 with a P4 finish for Will Davison, while Anton De Pasquale wrapped up his final race for the team in P15.

DE PASQUALE - QUOTE
"The last day at the office saw both cars in the shootout, which was really cool. We then had both cars in podium positions at certain points of the race. Unfortunately, there is no real result to show for it. Overall, today was a good day. It was fun at the racetrack, but just no trophy, but great to be in contention."

DAVISON - QUOTE
"In some ways, it's been a positive end to the season with both of us in the shootout today. It gave the team a much-needed morale boost. Both cars were really fast at the start, but I copped a lot of damage to my car early on. I feel like I drove one of the better races I can remember in a while, to then obviously get to the last few laps, which I'm sure was very exciting to watch but to get caught up with Chaz, who had a lot of damage; he made a move and got into second. It's pretty exciting through turn eight there, but I couldn't quite make it stick, and then to drop off the podium with only two laps to go when it was nearly set in stone is a pretty hard one to take. It's the final race working with some really special people in this team, including my engineer, Rich. It really looked like a bit of a fairytale finish after what's been a really difficult few months, but either way, I am very proud of the team. We kept fighting despite some difficult situations and circumstances, but the cars were really quite competitive today, and all in all, it's still a strong end of the year."

The Shell V-Power Racing Team returns to Supercars action on 21 February in next year's season-opener at Sydney Motorsport Park.
