Having begun his full-time Supercars career with Dick Johnson Racing 2006, Will Davison returned to the Queensland-based outfit in 2021.

Like many drivers, Davison started his motorsport career in karts as a 10-year-old and proved his ability at an early age, winning multiple state and national karting titles.

He competed in the Victorian Formula Ford series in 2000, winning 11 out of 12 races including Bathurst. The same year, he took part in the National Formula Ford series and won four out of the eight rounds he contested. He placed sixth overall in the Championship having only competing in only half the series. In 2001 he raced full-time in National series, and after a season-long battle with Will Power, and won the title with 15 race victories.

Davison headed to Europe where, in his first year of racing in the Formula Renault series, placed fourth overall. The following year, he raced in Formula 3 and impressively claimed three podiums and a race win.

He continued his already impressive career in Europe in 2004 as a test driver for the Minardi F1 team, but he also competed in his first Bathurst 1000 back in Australia. His first full-time drive in Supercars came in 2005, and Davison quickly proved his ability in a supercar, finishing in the top 10 on debut at the Australian Grand Prix at Albert Park.

During Davison’s stunning Supercars career, he has claimed 19 race wins (including the Bathurst 1000 in 2009 and 2016, and the Clipsal 500, Gold Coast 600 and Homebush in 2012), 17 pole positions (including the Bathurst pole position and the Pole Position Award in 2012), and 54 podiums. He was also awarded the coveted Barry Sheene Medal in 2009 when he finished runner-up in the Driver’s Championship.
