DAVISON FINISHES TOP 10 & DE PASQUALE DNF FOR RACE 16 IN TOWNSVILLE

In the No.17 Shell V-Power Mustang, Davison finished P5 after a successful first qualifying session, which saw him then move onto the Top Ten Shootout. De Pasquale, in the No.11 Shell V-Power Mustang qualified P12, for Race 16. At the completion of the TTSO Davison started Race 16 in P9. 

Davison finished in the Top Ten for Race 16, where he has sat consistently for most of the year. However,  Race 16 was riddled with dramas for De Pasquale, resulting in a disappointing DNF due to electrical issues.

"A really disappointing end to the day, we had a race full of electrical dramas, and I spent most of it in the garage. Definitely not how we hoped or wanted the day to go. So now we turn our focus to tomorrow and hope we can bring the Shell V-Power No.11 Mustang back to the pointy end of the field." 

W. DAVISON QUOTE
"Tough day, we struggled a little bit with balance so we went on a very different strategy, a three-stop strategy, and yeah we got perfect safety car timing at the end so we were able to charge back forwards, but unfortunately we had a fuel issue so I had to do the last 13 laps at half throttle to get home. Obviously, we got to 10th but it was a real shame because the strategy actually panned out perfectly for us and if we didn't have the fuel issue we really would've challenged up in the Top 5, so definitely a missed opportunity. A frustrating day but we salvaged something, but definitely a lot of stuff we need to improve for tomorrow."
