SHELL V-POWER RACING TEAM CELEBRATES 100 YEARS OF REPCO
The Shell V-Power Racing Team has today announced that Anton De Pasquale and Tony D’Alberto will race with the No. 100 at the Repco Bathurst 1000 to celebrate 100 years of Repco.
Repco has a rich history when it comes to supporting Australian motorsport dating back to 1947. Repco and Motorsport Legend and Hall of Famer Dick Johnson AM also have a special relationship, where even Dick worked for them delivering orders as a courier.
Shell V-Power Racing Team Executive Chairman Dr Ryan Story AM said the number change was a fitting tribute to the team’s partnership with Repco.
“The Shell V-Power Racing Team has a wonderful partnership in racing and in business with Repco, so what better way to celebrate 100 years of Repco than by running the number 100 on Anton and Tony’s Ford Mustang at the Repco Bathurst 1000.
“We are also delighted to announce a two-year partnership extension with Repco, the leader in the automotive aftermarket sector,” said Story.
Repco CEO Wayne Bryant said he was thrilled to work with the Shell V-Power Racing Team to celebrate such an exciting milestone for the Repco business.
“This is Repco’s 100th year in business, so it is a very significant time for Repco in Australia and New Zealand,” said Bryant.
“It is an incredibly selfless gesture from Ryan Story, Dick Johnson and the entire team at Shell V-Power Racing to change the number of Anton and Tony’s car for the Repco Bathurst 1000.
“For Repco and all our fantastic crew, this signifies why we value our partnership with the team and why we have extended our partnership with them. They are a team with family values that strive for excellence everyday. These are mirroring qualities to ours at Repco,” said Bryant.
Anton De Pasquale and Tony D’Alberto, Will Davison and Alex Davison in the iconic No. 17 will take to The Mountain on Thursday 6th October at 11am AEDT for Practice 1 of the Repco Bathurst 1000.
