SHELL V-POWER RACING TEAM 2024 CO-DRIVER ANNOUNCEMENT
The Shell V-Power Racing Team are today excited to announce their dynamic co-driver line-up for the 2024 endurance season.
Joining Will Davison in the iconic No.17 Shell V-Power Mustang will be Super2 Champion Kai Allen. Allen made his Supercars debut last year at Mount Panorama as a co-driver in the No.98 Shell V-Power Racing Team Wildcard. His accomplishments continued in the back half of 2023 when he made history by becoming the youngest ever Super2 Champion. This combination of the seasoned expertise of Davison with the promising talent of Allen is set to create a unique synergy on the track, reflecting the team's commitment to fostering both experience and emerging stars in motorsports.
Tony D’Alberto will once again join forces with Anton De Pasquale to commandeer the No.11 Shell V-Power Mustang, making this the pair’s fourth season together and D’Alberto’s ninth season with the team. After finishing 3rd on the Podium at the 2023 Repco Bathurst 1000, this dynamic duo is looking forward to a big year ahead.
David Noble, Chief Executive Officer - Shell V-Power Racing Team, expressed his enthusiasm about the 2024 co-driver line-up, stating, "We are delighted to have Tony & Kai join us for the 2024 season. Tony has been a part of the Shell V-Power Racing Team family for nine years now. He and Anton are a great pairing who work exceptionally well together, their podium finish at Bathurst last year reflects that. Their proven track record and commitment to excellence align seamlessly with our team's values.
Bringing Kai into the fold with Will combines youthful enthusiasm with veteran knowledge and experience. I have no doubt that these two will work together to become a force on the track.
As a team, we’re really excited to see what both of these pairings will achieve together in the 2024 season.”
Fans can first catch this co-driver line-up in action at the 2024 Sandown 500 between the 20-22nd September.
