ANTON DE PASQUALE QUOTE
“It’s been a mixed weekend for us. Some good qualifying on my side of the garage and some really poor race results which is never the plan. But there’s some little positives in that with cooler morning. Very different this weekend on a hard tyre, which we’ve haven’t used properly in these cars. Some big learnings, obviously something we need to look at for the Bathurst 1000 later in the year. Looking forward to the Grand Prix next and also looking ahead on how we fix our issues from the weekend.”
WILL DAVISON QUOTE
“Still a disappointing day, but after the struggles of Saturday it’s very rare you find absolute magic overnight. The team worked really late last night and we made some good solid gains, not enough, but enough to be in the shootout. We definitely took some steps forward with our changes, which is all you can ask for in a short space of time.”
“Got off to a good start and moved up to 5th in the first stint and it was looking really good, I was really encouraged. Just the way we played our strategy, we stayed out quite long and I think ultimately in hindsight didn’t work out the best for us. We got stuck in a bit of traffic and dropped some positions in the end. We couldn’t quite hang on to our tyres in the last two stints. It’s disappointing to drop down after being 5th early, but hung on for a top ten: pretty exciting finish at a really good race. Unfortunately, I was the one struggling for grip. I fought as hard as I could and that’s what we have to keep doing in even in difficult times.”
