It was a frustrating start to the Gold Coast 500 with Anton De Pasquale in the No.11 Shell V-Power Mustang qualifying P18 and Will Davison in the No.17 Shell V-Power Mustang qualifying P17. The conclusion of Race 25 saw De Pasquale move up the grid 5 places finishing P13 and Davison move up the grid 2 places finishing P15.

“Day 1 at Gold Coast done. Not our best day, we struggled a little bit in qualifying and tried to adapt but lacked a little bit of overall speed. We made up some positions but not as many as we’d have liked so now we’ll look into it overnight and hopefully improve for tomorrow.”

“Obviously a very trying day, with no real positives to report. Nothing really went wrong in the race just really struggled for balance, plus we lost a lot of time in my first pitstop due to traffic. But we brought the car home straight. I think we nearly maximized what we could out there today. All in all pretty disappointed but now we’ll just have to work incredibly hard tonight to make improvements for tomorrow.”
