DE PASQUALE PREPARES FOR SEASON AHEAD

January 30, 2023

There’s no stopping Shell V-Power Racing Team driver Anton De Pasquale as he prepares for the 2023 season, including the BATHURST 12 HOUR this weekend.

Coming off the back of a big year finishing 4th overall in the 2022 Drivers Championship and 3rd place at the Adelaide 500, De Pasquale is ready to go for the year ahead.

While his off season included some well-earned downtime relaxing on the Gold Coast with family & friends, he’s started the New Year with a bang competing in The Dubai 24 HR Race finishing 4th overall. De Pasquale says it’s a different set of preparation required for this style of endurance racing, “you’re racing through the night, needing to control and monitor your sleep and nutrition – there’s many different elements to think about, different to the usual routine and race prep.”

As he heads into the BATHURST 12 HOUR this weekend with his sights set high, De Pasquale comments on how this style of endurance racing will help with his preparation for the 2023 Supercars Season.

QUOTE – ANTON DE PASQUALE

“It’s really good to be able to drive different vehicles through the off season. Especially leading into Gen3 which is a completely different car for us, which could therefore require some different driving styles. So, for me, being able to hone those skills and experience different cars on the off season can only be a good thing.”

In conjunction with the BATHURST 12 HOUR, De Pasquale’s pre-season prep includes a strength training program, cycling and getting back to his grass roots with go-kart racing which he says is “another good way to stay race sharp in the off season, plus the Queensland heat prepares you for the season ahead.”

QUOTE – ANTON DE PASQUALE

“I’m really excited for the 2023 Repco Supercars Championship, especially being able to race in the new Gen3 Ford Mustang.”

Catch Anton De Pasquale this weekend at the BATHURST 12 HOUR and driving for The Shell V-Power Racing Team in Round 1 of the Repco Supercars Championship in Newcastle on March 10th – 12th.
